Scheduling Committee

 

The Scheduling Committee is in charge of working on each domicile’s trip pairings each month.  Members of this committee are released to work with the company and on the PBS computer to improve efficiency and overall pilot schedules.

 

The scheduling committee also meets with MAG Management as necessary to discuss any problems or procedures pertinent to the scheduling of Mesa Air Group pilots, to arrive at potential areas of agreement, and to attain more user tools with regard to schedules. These tools include FLiCA, which is used by pilots to improve and customize schedules, and PBS, a significant tool to initially massage pilot schedules by inputting pilot preferences to filter trips and request specific days off.

 

PBS Line Projections

 

Below you will find the Scheduling Committee's BALLPARK line production numbers for the upcoming month. It also includes actual and projected numbers for the current month. These numbers came about based on a quick math calculation by us of total block hours divided by an average line value of 83 hours and DOES NOT take into account vacation, training, planned absences, etc.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Note that there are MANY factors that go into whether or not you will receive a line. Under no circumstance are these numbers meant to be used to guarantee success or failure in an individual pilots attempt at holding a line.

 

The Scheduling Committee generates these numbers and any inaccuracies or errors are to be attributed to them, not Crew Planning. Planning has provided us the tools to come up with these numbers, but did not do the direct calculations and has not verified the math.
